PSAHPERD Student Recognition Award

PSAHPERD members now have the opportunity to recognize students for outstanding leadership, service, and/or contributions to the profession. Why not acknowledge and commend that special student or students who have gone beyond expectations in working for the good of our profession?

The PSAHPERD Appreciation Award was initiated five years ago to allow members to commend someone who impacted their life both professionally and personally. The Student Recognition Award would be a similar award but would be given by members to students who are deserving because of special contributions they have made to HPERD. Both awards are special ways to say "Thank you" to those who members feel are deserving of the recognition.

The procedures for processing and presenting the award would closely follow those for the Appreciation Award. The following will occur in receipt of the completed form below and a check or money order for $25.00 made payable to the PSAHPERD:

Student Recognition Award framed certificate--presented by the member to the student at the Student Section Business Meeting
A letter from the PSAHPERD President to the honoree
Names of the presenters and the honorees listed in State Journal
Names of the presenters and the honorees listed in a permanent registry kept by the Association and displayed annually at the State Convention
Annual reception to be held at the State Convention for all presenters, honorees, and guests
