PSAHPERD members now have an opportunity to honor and commend a person who has had an impact on thier lives, both professionally and personally. The new PSAHPERD Appreciation Award was created in 1993 at the convention at Seven Springs Resort where 39 honorees were recognized at a special reception held in their honor. The second year of the Appreciation Awards, 40 colleagues, friends, and family members were commended and honored. The third year over 25 colleagues, friends, and family members were recognized. students for outstanding leadership, service, and/or contributions to the profession. If you have someone in mind who you would like to commend for being special in your life, consider this award. The following will occur in receipt of the completed form and check or money order for $20.00 made payable to the PSAHPERD:

• Appreciation Award Certificate--presented by you to the honoree
• A letter from the PSAHPERD President to the honoree
• Names of the presenters and the honorees listed in State Journal
• Names of the presenters and the honorees listed in a permanent registry kept by the Association and displayed annually at the State Convention
• Annual reception to be held at the State Convention for all presenters, honorees, and guests
